Long Beach hotels
Queen Mary Hotel Reviews

If staying the night in a prison isn't creepy enough, try spending the night in a haunted hotel/boat, the Queen Mary. This ocean liner and World War II troopship has a haunted history. One of the most haunted areas on the boat is the no longer used First-Class Swimming Pool. Women in vintage swimsuits have been seen wandering around and wet footprints have been found mysteriously leading from the deck to the changing rooms. The boat/luxury hotel offers more than hauntings, but historic tours, multiple world-class dining options, cabaret shows, a comedy club, spas and suites as well. For $459 you can spend the night in one of the haunted staterooms, but are you brave enough?

<strong>Parrot Nest Lodge: In a tree under the stars</strong>
Cayo, Belize

Staying the night here won't be as creepy as the Queen Mary, unless you are afraid of heights and birds. The Parrot Nest Lodge consists of two thatched tree houses, four cabins and two bathhouses and is surrounded on three sides by the Mopan River, which offers a refreshing swim. As its name implies there are large numbers of parrots, as well as hundreds of other birds, making this a prime bird-watching destination. Giant iguanas are also another friendly garden visitor. Breakfast and dinner are also included with your tree house room for only $40-50 a night room rental, making this a cheap hotel with resort qualities. Hope you're not afraid of the wild.

<strong>Heceta Head Lighthouse: On the cliffs</strong>
Yachats hotels

If staying the night in a tree-house was too high, try spending the evening in a lighthouse perched on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The Heceta Head Lighthouse is over a hundred years old and considered by many to be one of the most beautiful lighthouses in the world. Heceta is also the brightest lighthouse in Seattle, casting light 21 miles out to sea. The Queen Ann style keeper's house has been renovated into a bed and breakfast where guests get to view the lighthouse at night, a rare opportunity. Also, a seven course breakfast is served in the morning, which is included with your room. Magical is the one word many guests use to describe the Heceta Head Lighthouse and bed and breakfast.

<strong>Beckham Creek Cave Haven: Eco-tourist Haven</strong>
Parthenon, Arkansas hotels

Taking over four years to create, the Beckham Creek Cave Haven was created with the philosophy that the on-going preservation of our environment is paramount. Set on a 530-acre estate in Buffalo National River country, this cave hotel offers solitude and plenty of outdoor entertainment among the Ozarks for eco-tourists. On the estate alone there is a mountain and plenty of hiking, biking and fishing places.

<strong>Ice Hotel: Freeze your ice off</strong>
Sweden

A cave of sorts, the Ice hotel is a cavern of ice carved from 10,000 tons of crystal clear ice cut from the Torne River. Every year the hotel must be built from scratch, with new designs and new concepts; it is continually being re-birthed. This luxury hotel includes an ice chapel, an ice art exhibition hall, a cinema and the world famous Absolut Ice Bar. If you can brave the freezing temperatures, the Ice Hotel is well-worth the trip.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Each room is not designed out of ice, but designed by a different artist. Located in Toronto, the Gladstone Hotel is a unique, urban hotel with artist designed hotel rooms, as well as short-term art studios and exhibition spaces. Booking Amsterdam Hotels

When it comes to booking your hotel stay in Amsterdam, take the time necessary to select the right amenities and to look at where the hotel is located. But, do not take too much time looking at these features or you may find your hotel choices rather limited. As tourism is one of the strong suits in the city, you will find many hotels that could be the perfect choice for you. Yet, waiting until the last minute can cause you to miss out on the best choices and the most affordable choices in these hotels. In other words, look but make a decision.

To help you to get the booking process done correctly, there are several key things that you will want to take into consideration when it comes to your hotel choice. First, consider the location. Is it near to the things that you need? Second, determine if the hotel offers the necessary and desirable amenities that you are looking for? Third, determine the cost. This can be a bit tricky though. Many times you will not learn the cost of the stay at the hotel until you get through the booking process. Yet, to avoid this, try looking for the right hotel on the web instead.

It is advisable to try and book your Amsterdam hotel as soon as you know that you will be traveling. If you wait too long, you may find yourself without the room or the choice locations to choose from. Nevertheless, it does pay off to do a bit of shopping around to learn about the right location with the most affordable choice. All in all, your trip to Amsterdam can be an amazing one but only if your choice of hotels is just that. Take the time to book ahead of time and save money and time.

Amsterdam Hotels: Amenities To Select

Amsterdam, hotels offer a wide range of fun and excitement but also allow for you to stroll through beautiful gardens and find that perfect place to lay your head. If you are traveling to this city, it can be nothing short of amazing to make sure you stay at one of the best hotels that the city has to offer. Yet, what you want that hotel to offer will define if it is in fact the best choice for you. The good news is that there is quite a bit of variety to be had.

Some of the hotels within Amsterdam allow for the most modern of features. You will find internet access available including laptop connection services, and video and television features. In addition to this, you may find the more enjoyable aspects as well. For example, what about a balcony overlooking the gardens or a bath that offers a hot tub and beautiful features? Of course, every hotel is different and determining which of these features are important to you is important to look for.

One benefit that many of the more luxurious hotels in Amsterdam offer is a wide range of recreational activities. Some hotels will offer such things as bowling alleys, indoor or outdoor tennis courts, bars and lounges. There is always something to do in any of these hotels if that is what you are looking for.

When it comes to Amsterdam hotels, expect the best. But, before you select the hotel to stay at, take some time to check out which amenities it can provide to you. As you will see, it is essential to make sure that what you want is offered in the hotel you stay at even though many offer everything and more.

When in France ? These Hotels Offer Romance

The clich? of France is that the air is full of romance, making it the perfect destination for newlyweds and those celebrating anniversaries. However, the rumors about France are completely true, but it?s where you stay that makes all of the difference.

At Hotel Chateau de la Tour ( http://www.lechateaudelatour.fr/ ), guests are immediately taken in by the 2002 restoration of the structure. With a design of a Provence estate, the hotel is surrounded by a lush garden that captures all of the senses. Staying in one of the thirty four rooms can yield an ocean view in some parts of the hotel, but you?re always just a short walk from the Cannes area beaches.

The French Riviera location of the Hotel also provides a large sundeck and swimming pools for guests, but if you?re looking for a more private area, the solarium gives guests a complete view of the ocean in the privacy of the surrounding gardens.

In Paris, the Hotel Claridge Bellman (http://www.hotelclaridgebellman.com/US/index.htm) is another fine choice for culture and romance. Within close proximity to the Champs Elysees, this hotel is truly in the heart of Paris? fine historical, shopping, and business districts. The hotel itself has forty two guest rooms, all with modern conveniences along with period style furniture, for that comfortable old-world feel. Guests are allows to choose the room that they prefer, rather than being assigned the next available, which is a unique trait among hotels in this day and age.

Never settling for anything less that the best, the Hotel Claridge Bellman also has an honesty bar in the main lobby that allows guests to fill out a form and have that charge added to their hotel bill. But if you?re headed out the door, you can find Sacre Coeur and Notre Dame cathedrals within a short ways as well as the Louvre with all of its cultural masterpieces.

In Nice, the Hotel Negresco (http://www.hotel-negresco-nice.com/index-gb.htm) is another often mentioned destination for the romantically minded couple. They offer a package that includes a tastefully decorated room, fruit basket, complimentary breakfast, as well as access to a private beach for a more secluded excursion. For those honeymooners, the honeymoon package offers a bottle of champagne as well as a special gift.

Voted one of the ten best hotels, Hotel Negresco is situated right on the beaches of Nice and is close to such cultural locations as the Chagall and Matisse museums. If your version of romance includes a little more action, Hotel Negresco can also offer a wide range of water sports for you to enjoy. Two celebrated restaurants are also within the hotel: La Rotonde and The Chantecler (both run by an award winning chef).

While many of the hotel packages in France are a little costly, the quality of their services and accommodations is well worth it. With beautiful locations and serene attention to detail, anyone can enjoy their special someone ? whether they have a reason or not. You don?t have to be a newlywed to explore your romantic side.

Best Hotels in Las Vegas

How many hotels are there in Las Vegas? Hard to tell whether there's more hotels or light bulbs . Let's just say there's way too many to count. And they all have their strengths and weaknesses. A major strength that hotels in Vegas require nowadays is great shopping. And when it comes to shopping, the hotel that flexes the biggest muscles has got to be Caesars and its Forum Shops. The Forum at Caesars isn't just another mall. You'll find gorgeously decorated Roman architecture, talking water fountains, and an enormous aquarium featuring stunning tropical fish. In addition, the Forum offer everything else that you want in a great mall, including the big brand name stores you know you can depend on and the specialty stores that meet your special needs, not to mention wonderful restaurants. And don't miss the Race for Atlantis. Add the best parking in town and easy access and you can see why Caesars tops the list.

But shopping isn't the only place where Caesar rules. Let's face it, despite all the recent moves toward making Vegas a family tourist destination, gambling is still king and the sports book hotel is the first and most important factor when it comes to spending time in Vegas for many people. When it comes to picking the best sports book hotel, the grand old Roman emperor leads the pack as well. With big screen TVs everywhere-including a monster screen measuring 20 feet by 30 feet-and individual monitors to boot, Caesars is really the only place you'd ever want to watch your favorite games and races and make money while doing it. You can indulge in daily line, parlays, match-ups, futures, propositions and pari-mutuel wagering. Caesars isn't the only game in town, however, and you just might want to check out the Las Vegas Hilton or the Stardust. After all, if you've already spent all day shopping at the Forums, you might be in the mood for a change of pace when it comes to laying down the bets.

Caesars also makes a bid for the best entertainment venue in town, but has to make room for Mandalay Bay's House of Blues at the top. The Colosseum at Caesar's offers up incredible acoustics, true, but the sheer variety of nationally recognized artists on display nearly every night at the House of Blues gives it the edge. Acoustics are one thing, but variety is the spice of life, after all.
